Ferran Torres' 98-rated Festival of Football Star Performer is a genuinely elite striker and an easy SBC to recommend, with one big caveat: if you already own his 99-rated Path to Glory, keep your fodder. EA dropped this card after Spain won the World Cup, complete with a trophy icon above the rating, and the stats are close to end-game. The only real debates are the pre-set Power Shot playstyle plus and whether your club needs a second top-tier Ferran.

Strengths on the pitch
The headline numbers from our database: 96 pace, 95 shooting, 95 passing, 98 dribbling and 95 physical, with 5-star skills and a 5-star weak foot on a 184cm frame. He starts at striker and also covers LW, RW and LM. Under the hood, FUT.GG lists 98 finishing, 98 agility, 98 balance, 98 stamina, 98 jumping and 97 aggression. For a July SBC that costs fodder rather than coins, that is about as complete as an attacker gets.
The dribbling is the star in-game too. Reviewing the card on YouTube, Buttzyy said "his dribbling is incredible in game" and called the dribbling and physical stats "absolutely insane" on paper. Across four matches, two at striker and two at left mid, the creator scored six goals and added an assist, mixing finesse finishes, chips and low driven strikes. With the 5-star weak foot and 98 finishing, he shoots first time off either side, which is exactly what you want from a poacher in the current gameplay.
The physical profile backs up the flair. 98 stamina means he presses all game, 98 jumping makes him a real threat on crosses despite his finesse-forward style, and 97 aggression keeps him competitive in duels.
Weaknesses
The card's biggest flaw is baked in. It comes with Power Shot plus locked as one of only three playstyle plus slots, so a third of the customization is spent on a playstyle most players never use. The creator was blunt: "I would get rid of this power shot in a heartbeat." Set him next to the Path to Glory version, which carries five playstyle pluses including Finesse Shot and Low Driven, and the Star Performer is clearly the weaker card for a reason that cannot be fixed.
On the pitch the complaints are smaller but real. His acceleration type is Controlled rather than Explosive, so he lacks the instant burst the shortest meta dribblers enjoy. The creator also noticed occasional heavy touches even with the First Touch playstyle equipped, admitting "sometimes the first touches are dreadful." Base strength of 93 is good, not dominant, and he got outmuscled by a big defender at least once in the review footage. The 47 defending is irrelevant at striker but rules him out of any midfield experiment.
Best chemistry style and role
Play him as an Advanced Forward at striker, where he holds a plus-plus role, or as an Inside Forward plus-plus if you shift him to left mid, which is where the creator scored one of his best goals cutting in. For the two free playstyle plus slots, the creator chose Finesse Shot plus and Quick Step plus, a sensible pairing that leans into how the card scores and patches the Controlled acceleration. On chemistry styles, the creator ran Deadeye but admitted the card does not need the help: "the shooting is insane, the passing is insane." With 95 shooting and 98 finishing base, a basic style or a light shooting boost like Sniper or Finisher covers it.
Value verdict
Cost depends on your fodder. Our database pegs the five-squad SBC around 145,700 coins, the creator counted 185,000 on console and 197,000 on PC using market prices, and Sportskeeda's cheapest-solution estimate lands near 162,000 on console. Call it 150k to 200k for a 98-rated striker with five-star everything. In a vacuum that is strong value for a 98-rated striker with five-star everything. If you missed his 99-rated Path to Glory, this SBC gets you most of that output without hunting the market; if you already own the 99, it is strictly better, so check its live price before spending fodder here.
So who should do it? Anyone who missed the Path to Glory and needs a top-end Spanish striker. The creator's bottom line matches ours: "for the price you pay for this card, he's pretty much worth it," but Path to Glory owners should not bother, since that card is simply better. The SBC reportedly runs until July 26, so the decision window is short.
For squad building he is about as flexible as it gets. Spain nationality plus Barcelona and LALIGA links slot him into most meta hybrids without gymnastics, and with four playable positions you can move him across the front line without touching chemistry. If your attack still lacks a 5-star, 5-star finisher, this is one of the cheapest routes to one in the game right now.
